2009 Edwardian Ball
This year I have to say I'm really excited to finally get to see Rasputina perform. I can also say I have the great pleasure of opening the first night with a dark, seductive old world DJ set.
I will also be closing out the Sunday night event.
If you've never been to the ball, you really should go this year! It's a really, really fun event, and everyone gets dressed to the nines.
PLUS if you act now and order tickets via http://www.edwardianball.com/tickets.ht ml and enter FACT50 when prompted for a discount code, you will recieve $5 off your purchase.
What a deal! (you can buy me a drink with the $5 you save hah!)
Here is the official press release and flyer:

THE EDWARDIAN BALL 2009, JAN 23-25 (SF) & JAN 31 (LA)
The award-winning Edwardian Ball takes over The Regency Center January 23rd-25th in a symphony of music, theatre, dance, art, storytelling, circus arts, fashion, technology, and, of course, the art & stories of Edward Gorey. The festival features a new lineup of top-billing national acts including Rasputina, Vau de Vire Society, Rosin Coven, Cirque Berzerk, Abney Park, Jill Tracy, Paul Mercer & The Ghosts Project, and countless more. Furthermore, the Edwardian Ball finally takes flight and heads south for the winter the following weekend for the first-ever Edwardian Ball Los Angeles, at the Tower Theater in downtown LA on Saturday January 31st.
High flying trapezes and steam-powered machines paint an elegant backdrop for costumed ballgoers waltzing their way through the night. Here, the old world meets the world-to-be with an unforgettable tip of the top hat, curtsey, and a splash of absinthe poured over a silver spoon.
